FAQs
So how does this all work?...
Live recordings, are they for me?
Live albums or EPs are a great way to showcase your true talent an energy. Along with studio material, live recordings can give your fans something different and can be a great promotional tool to catch the attention of potential future promoters, venue owners or festival organisers etc.
We would arrange to attend a live show of your choosing (this will be dicussed before anything is agreed to make sure you get the best results) or even a rehearsal, if that is more comfortable and record your set. This would then be mixed and mastered afterwards for distribution to CD media, Social media, Portable media and anything else you require.
This is also a good way to create good quality but reletively low cost YouTube content when paired with video footage from Go Pro cameras or even a professional multi-camera video recording. Even mobile phones are now capable of 4k video recording, so adding in professionally recorded audio would make that footage sound and look a lot more professional.
What if the venue we are playing has their own sound engineer?
That is not a problem, in fact in some cases it is prefered!
We would either use the venue provided mics (as long as they conform to our quality checks) or we would setup our own professional studio mics on the instruments and "split" the signal so that the "front of house" sound engineer can mix the live sound as normal, while we get a completely separate and "un-coloured" audio signal.
This would then be used for multitrack mixing and mastering after the event.
What if the venue we are playing has NO sound engineer?
No problem!
We can also provide "front of house" services and even provide PA systems for small/medium sized venues with enough notice and planning, This will obviously be at an additional cost to the recording project, but the finer details will be fully discussed before anything is signed off.
What if I need to record a full album or EP in a studio?
We can offer that too! With some small differences from the normal "static" studio deals that are out there.
We come to you! So we would arrange a local rehearsal room or good audio space to work in for what would most likely be a lot less than the financial outlay for a purpose built studio, but would get the same results.
For example, locally we have a partnership with a media company based just outside of the town of our HQ who have a professionally acoustically treated room, which is perfect for tracking Drums, Guitars, Vocals etc that we can use for a fraction of the outlay that the same room in a specific recording studio would offer. We aim to find and create similar partnerships all over the country and even further afield, should to project dictate that.
I have recorded some footage of my band/self/group but the audio is bad and needs improving
There are 2 ways in which we can help on this one:
1. We organise another recording at a live show or rehearsal, maybe even a fully planned music video (the choice is yours) and then we can create the high quality studio or live audio to go along with that video recording.
2. We could take the video footage you already have and record the audio at a different live show or even in the studio and lay it under the video to instantly improve the quality of the captured footage.
Go Pro and Mobile Phone footage is a great "quick fix" for getting content out there on social media and showing people what they are missing by not seeing you perform live, or as a memento of the show/day/event event. But the one thing that most of these sources have in common in bad audio.
We aim to cover most of the UK at this time with some exceptions. Other territories will be added later as we are still a growing company.
Currently operating in: - England (all areas) - Scotland (all areas except Highland and Isles) - Wales (all areas) - Ireland (NI and ROI carry a travel surcharge due to ferries etc)
So how much does this cost?
We believe that we can offer something to suit all clients, all budgets and all locations. We just need to chat and work out the details. We aim to be affordable but deliver professional results, so send us a Facebook message or an Email to get the ball rolling.
